Protein is a natural appetite suppressant, therefore, it you eat a breakfast rich in protein, you will stay full until lunch.

Keeping sweets out of your diet is the best way to lose weight. If you do need to add sweets to your diet, you should use natural sugar rather than the zero calorie sweeteners. These products can confuse your digestive system, making it difficult for you to burn calories. These products can also increase your food cravings. If you need to have sugar in your diet, stick to natural sugar, but within reason.

Giving in to Peer Pressure

If you are just starting out on a diet, and you do not have much self control, you should avoid going out to eat with friends. It can be difficult to watch them eat a juicy burger and greasy fries, while you are nibbling on a salad. If you don’t think that you are strong enough, stay home. If you are strong enough, you can go, but don’t listen to them when they tell you to order something fattening.

This can make your workout useless.

Late Meals and Snacking

If you generally eat your dinner late, or enjoy a late night snack before bed, it can have a very negative effect on your diet. When you consume calories, you need to burn them off. If you have excess calories that have not been burned before you go to bed, they will turn to fat. When you eat late at night, you will likely not be very active after, therefore, your snack and dinner will turn to fat.
